Hello to all, (or Hey y'all! )

Just spent a few minutes looking at the pictures from the reunion we missed. Looks like it was fun for everyone there. I was amazed at how many people I didn't recognize or haven't met. I guess that's what happens with the passing of so much time. I would guess that most of you wouldn't know my kids either. In case you're curious about my family and all that we are up to, our reunion may have to take place over the internet. We have a blog that we try to keep up to date. Your welcome to check it out!

Family Reunion from Landon & Kara's View

This is practically the same post we posted on our blog, just because it was easiest to copy and paste...

We spent the weekend at Lake Walcott with 51 members of Landon's family, some I'd never even met! Landon was excited because he got to spend a little extra time with his favorite little buddy, Hadley...

Here they are painting rocks,

Playing hide and seek in the tunnel,

Then she got a little jealous when she noticed Lillie sitting on his lap and decided to join them.

We did some swimming (where Landon lost his wedding ring in the rocky, murky lake). Luckily his brother saved his life and found it for him, thank you Mike!
And we did some fishing...

Cooper caught this fish and carried it around in a cup, hilarious!
Britta supervising the fishers.

We ate lots of great food (another reason Lando was so excited for the reunion).

And I taught Courtney, how to change into the family reunion shirt without showing off the g's.
Step 1: Put the new shirt on over the old, like so:

Step 2: Take the old shirt off underneath and pull over your head, like so:

Step 3: Pull your limbs out and wah lah, you're changed! I only wish I'd had a video of this, Courtney, I think it was the best entertainment of the weekend!

And a few family shots with all of our shirts, thanks to Susanne and April!

The whole group:

And the whole group being funny!

Thanks for such a fun weekend everyone, especially Annika for all the planning!

Next Week!

Hello Hagbergs! Looking so forward to seeing all of you next week at the
reunion. I think we're going to have a great time!

I thought I'd do a rundown of info for everyone and also give a few
reminders!

The park address is: 959 E Minidoka Dam Rd. Rupert, ID 83350 for those who
want to mapquest the address. It is very easy to get to. Everyone will be
coming into the Rupert /Burley area from the freeway. Exit 211 is the
easiest way to get to the park. It takes you into Rupert. It is very well
marked with signs. I will have my cell phone with me constantly and if you
get lost for some reason call! 208-650-8384.

Please make sure you bring these things with you:

*Ice Chests

*Icecream Maker- Hopefully we'll get enough of them there to be able to make
it. (ROBIN'S FAMILY, maybe you guys can talk and see if you all will have
enough and decide whether or not to bring them). We don't have one and I
don't know who else might be bringing them.

*Propane stove- bring griddle if you have it!

*Dutch Oven (we can round up a lot, but if you have one and want to pack it,
go ahead and bring it)

*BUG SPRAY
*SUNSCREEN
*Swimwear
*Your camping gear

*If anyone has a screened tent and/or an open canopy tent please bring it.
We have lots of shade in our campground, but it'd be nice to have them.

*Kiddie pools- I have one big one, but one or 2 others might be nice

*If you are going swimming and have WATER SHOES, I'd bring them. If not, I
think there are some at Wal-Mart for about $5.00!

Some other suggestions:
*Bikes- lots of places to ride
*Water/pool toys for the lake (boats etc)
*Outdoor games - badmitton etc.
*Card and Board Games

ACTIVITIES TO DO AT THE PARK-
*Swim
*Walking Trails
*Bike
*Frisbee golf- Brand new course!
*Large jungle gym (NEW) and swings for little ones

REMEMBER! FRIDAY DINNER IS POTLUCK DUTCH OVEN NIGHT! You will be bringing
your own ingredients to make dinner that night. There are several local
stores so if you want you can buy the food here. Travis and I are planning
on making a couple big dutch ovens of Potatoes. Michael's Mother in Law has
also been kind enough to give us bags of cooked pulled pork. So we will have
buns available that night for that as well. I think I will also get corn for
that night, but we'll see.

Here is a rundown of meals for the weekend:

Thurs. Dinner- Burgers and Dogs, Potato Salad, Beans, chips, watermelon,
corn, possibly some other salads- not sure.

Friday Breakfast- pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, cantaloupe, cereals

Friday Lunch - sandwiches, chips

Friday Dinner- POTLUCK DUTCH OVEN

Saturday Breakfast - Biscuits and Gravy, Eggs, Hash browns, Cereals, Orange
juice

Saturday Lunch- Sandwiches, Chips ( we will be having a early dinner this
night though, so some may not want to have a full lunch)

Saturday Dinner EARLY - around 4:00-4:30 Salmon Tacos and Ground Meat Tacos
with fixin's . Mexican Rice, Chips and Salsa

Sunday Breakfast - I'll probably just buy muffins and pastries. We can
finish up cereals, and if there are eggs, bacon and such left over that can
be cooked up and eaten

Sunday lunch- Not sure anyone will still be around, but again, I'm sure
there will be some left overs that can be eaten. I'm guessing most will pack
up and leave after breakfast

I'm hoping I'll have enough food money to buy snacks such as pretzels, nuts,
cookies, granola bars and other snacky things. We'll have to see how far the
funds go. It would be nice if everyone made a batch of cookies or brownies
or some other sort of snack treat and brought it so that we can have
munchies. Especially at night after dinner. Again, there are stores close so
if we all decide we want icecream or cookies we can make runs to the store.
I'm sure we can all survive without goodies, but they'd be nice to have!

We need to be very careful with food. There are raccoons in the park! We
will have to put things up each night in our cars or tents. My house is
close so we can run food to my fridges and freezer as well.

Weather has been nice. Hot days, Cool nights, but not cold. Sweatshirts at
night should be sufficient. BUG SPRAY IS A MUST! If anyone has citronella
candles, bring em! The campsite is in a big area and we are right on the
lake! THERE WILL BE BUGS!

We're trying to get permission to do Sacrament Meeting from my Bishop for
those of us left at camp on Sunday Morning. If we can't get permission then
my ward starts at 10:00 am. for those who want to attend.

For those that I have not received money from, I absolutely need it
deposited ON MONDAY. I think I have spoken to everyone and you all have my
bank account number. If there are any problems please call me. 208-650-8384.

Thanks and see you all soon!

FISHING AT LAKE WALCOTT

I forgot to mention in my big letter that there is fishing. Our campsite is actually on one of the better spots! You can purchase one and 2 day fishing licenses at Walmart. So if you're interested, bring fishing poles!
Daily Fishing — 1st Day$12.75
Daily Fishing — Each Consecutive Day$6.00
Please call me with any questions whatsoever! I think I covered just about everything but the fishing in the letter I had Uncle Robin send out!

Reunion Rundown

Here's a rundown of reunion info for everyone:

FOOD COST for the reunion is going to be $30 for ages 12 and up and $15 for
12 and under .Matthew and I banged around the numbers and we decided that is
a good price. If for some reason we overestimated we'll do some refunding
at the reunion. Also, those coming a day late, we'll knock the price down.
Camping cost is going to be about $10 per family. We could also use
leftover money (if any) to cover camping cost.

I'm going to do the food shopping so I will need the money by the 18th.
That gives everyone 2 weeks to get it to me. I guess checks would probably
work the best.

Annika Taylor

I think we have some good food planned that everyone will enjoy!

Friday night will be a potluck dutch oven meal. Families will purchase
these ingredients themselves. There are plenty of local stores so you can
do your shopping here if you wish. If you have a dutch oven, you can
bring it, though we think we can round up enough that you won't have to.

We had discussed homemade icecream, but I"m not positive about it. I guess
if you have an icecream maker bring it and we'll see how many we have and if
we can make enough. Otherwise I'm sure no one will object to store bought.

Other things to bring!

Anyone who has canopies or shade tents, bring them.
Lawn games- badmitton, volleyball, croquet, etc.
Netted Tents for food or to corral kids in to stay away from bugs
*BRING BUG SPRAY & SUNBLOCK!*
Coolers
Other Activities for kids- If anyone has any great ideas to entertain the
little ones, feel free! There are paths to walk on water, disc golf and a
playground, but little ones might need something else. I've got a kiddie
pool. We may need more than one though.

That's all I can think of now, if anyone has any other ideas, GO FOR IT!

We should get hold of everyone by phone this week as well!

Any ?? Please call me! 208-650-8384 or 208-436-1378.
